Andres’s story with CDCVAS comes full circle. He first came to us as a client in 2020, where, with legal help, he gained full custody of his daughter. Since then, he’s shared his story at our Justice Gala, served on our Board of Directors (including as Vice President!), and helped launch our Community Power-Building Committee to lift up the voices of those most impacted by legal barriers. Now, in October of 2025, he’s officially part of our team, through the AmeriCorps program, serving as a Legal Navigator helping more neighbors access justice, expanding outreach, and leading community empowerment efforts.
