Allison Drescher, Associate
Allison is excited to share why she volunteers with us here at CDCVAS:
“As stated by the great Justice Ruth Bader Ginsburg: “The notion was that law was, yes, a way to earn a living, but to also do things that would make life a little better for your community.” The Wenatchee Valley is my home, and I owe a great deal of credit to this community. I choose to be involved with CDCVAS because many members of our community do not have the resources to confidently and correctly navigate the legal system due to its design. The principles of fundamental fairness and respect require more.
A common reaction that I receive from clients after a consult is a sense of relief. “Free legal services” is so much more than providing legal and institutional expertise at no cost. Rather, it is providing members of our community the opportunity to be seen, to be heard, and to be supported in an arena that is not only difficult, but intimidating to navigate alone.”
