Volunteer Attorney of the Month

 

Steve Wood of Woods & Brangwin was able to help several clients using his vast expertise, community connections and team approach. In one case, Steve identified a legal defense for a very vulnerable client, offering a chance for a better outcome. In another he offered to give a client a chance to be “a family” through adoption assistance. Thank you Steve!

Prior to her appointment as Chelan County Superior Court judge, Kristin Ferrara was an active attorney volunteer who regularly donated her time to help families struggling with family law issues. In November Kristin assisted several mothers with critical legal advice and direction.

Steve Demarest

Steve Demarest, a semi-retired attorney from Leavenworth, regularly defends tenant rights as a Housing Justice Project volunteer.  In addition to his volunteer time on Friday mornings, Steve recently provided nearly 20 hours of time to fully represent a tenant facing an unlawful housing situation.
